What are your consignment fees?

Commission rates are as low as:

  • 25 percent for scheduled drop offs to our location.

  • 35 percent for items picked up at your location, which are already sorted, boxed and ready to load.

  • 45 percent for items picked up at your location to be sorted and boxed up by Central Treasures staff.

High priced items may allow for lower rates than the above structure depending on quality, quantity, overall value, etc.  Please contact Central Treasures for a free consultation.

Can I set up a reserve on my item/s listed?

Placing a reserve on an item is not common or recommended.  However, there are certain instances where a reasonable reserve may be considered for rare or high-dollar-value items.  It is the consignor’s responsibility to communicate any intentions to place a reserve on an item.  Unless Central Treasures specifically agrees to place a reserve on an item, all items will be placed in the auction with a non-reserve status.

What if my item/s do not sell?

In the event an item does not sell, the item will be returned to the owner. The owner is responsible for picking up any unsold items or providing disposition instructions “in email or written format” within a timely manner. Under some instances, an item may be relisted in a separate auction at the discretion of Central Treasures on a case by case basis.

Are my consigned items protected by insurance to cover loss or damage?

Yes.  Central Treasures maintains property insurance for consigned items stored at our location. Items that remain stored offsite by the owner do not fall under this coverage and are the responsibility of the owner.

When and how will I receive a consignment check?

Central Treasures makes every effort to provide payment to consignors within ten (10) days after auction closing or after all items are paid for.  Consignors have a choice of payment by checks directly mailed to them or to coordinate a date and time to pick up their checks in person.  Consignor can designate their choice upon completion of the consignor agreement.

Will you buy my items outright?

Possibly so -- Central Treasures will consider on a case by case basis to purchase items outright, including firearms, antiques, militaria and whole collections.
